TARA WARREN MALONE'S PAST 20 YEARS...

After graduating from UMass I spent quite a few years drifting around while trying to figure out what to do with my life. Eventually I ended up in California working for various adventure tour companies, originally as a tour leader and later as an operations manager. My most recent stint was with Mountain Travel Sobek, based in the SF Bay Area - nice folks, interesting work and great travel benefits. It wasn't an easy job to leave, but after more than 10 years away, New England was calling me.

While living in Berkeley I met Scott at a Sierra Club snowcamping training course. In the fall of 2000 we left our lives in the Bay Area to travel the world before moving to Vermont. Aside from the fact that we got married while living in Brattleboro, it was a failed attempt to settle down. After 5 short months we pulled up the few roots we'd put down, and in August 2001 we moved to the Czech Republic where Scott directs a study abroad program for the School for International Training (based in VT). I taught English for the first year, but since last September I've been a full-time mom. Jadyn was born here in Prague and she's amazing. I'm finding motherhood the best adventure ever. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the reunion but if anyone is ever in Central Europe, look me up!
