After graduating from Westtown I went to Rice University in Houston, Texas to get a little change of culture. I graduated with a degree in English and Policy Studies and proceeded to work in publishing for eight years, most of which were at Houghton Mifflin Co. in Boston. I was doing a lot of volunteer work in recycling and other environmental interests, and finally decided to go back to school in hopes of getting paid for what I really like to do. I graduated from Tufts in 1996 with an MA in Urban and Environmental Policy and moved to Vermont shortly after graduating. I've worked at the Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission for the last seven years, mostly concentrating on environmental planning but generally getting involved in everything - from town plans to community development to transportation.
I've dated some interesting (and loser) guys over the years, but seem to have a penchant for hippies and free spirits, most of whom have an aversion to commitment (or maybe it's me?!?), so I find myself single after all this time... making the best of it with a great "family" of friends in the area and keeping busy with my passion for outdoor endeavers - skiing, hiking, biking, gardening, etc. I rent a log cabin on a dead-end road in South Pomfret (population 902) with lots of great trails nearby.
Although I didn't graduate from Bromfield, I still think of Harvard as my home town and you all as the kids I grew up with... If I don't see you this year, I'll try to make it to the 25th!
